Women having regular exercises to tone their pelvic muscles have more satisfying sex lives and orgasms.
A recent survey conducted by the Scarlet magazine and the makers of the PelvicToner revealed that eight out of ten women who started exercising their pelvic muscles on a daily basis reported about better sex lives, while seven out of ten of their partners said that their satisfaction with sex life increased.
The findings could be very helpful to men and women who take part in the National Orgasm Day that is celebrated on 31 July 2008. More than 2000 of British women took part in the survey to mark the big O day.
Almost half of all women responding to the survey said that they do not achieve orgasm. Most women claimed to know their G-spot with only 25 percent who failed to find the elusive spot, who also said to have orgasm rarely. When asked about the location of their G-spot, 72 percent of women told about different location. Half of them identify it simply inside a vagina, while 35 percent feel it deep inside and 15 percent report about other location.
Nearly half of all respondents said that they did not or rarely experience orgasms during penetrative sex, with only 31 percent lucky enough to achieve the big O often or always.
Most women are aware of the benefits of pelvic floor exercises for achieving orgasm with 70 percent of women doing them occasionally. As much as 92 percent of women want to know how to exercise properly. Those women who rate their pelvic muscles strength high were found to have more success with vaginal orgasms if compared with those who have poor pelvic floor.
It is known that pelvic floor plays a great role in the ability of the woman to have more satisfying sex lives. Stronger pelvic floor contributes to better friction and enhances stimulation for both partners.
Arnold Kegel, who initially developed series of exercise to help men and women deal with stress incontinence, discovered that pelvic floor exercises are also helpful to women with sexually dysfunction to experience orgasm for the first time. Kegel exercises involve squeezing and relaxing the muscles lining the vagina. One of the most effective techniques to keep pelvic muscles fit is to squeeze them against a resistance, using a special exerciser or sex toys.
